About

I’m an incoming Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Data Science at Geisel in Dartmouth College. I was previously a Lane Fellow in the Computational Biology Department in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University, working with Prof. Jian Ma. I received my PhD in Computer Science from the University of Arizona, working with Prof. John Kececioglu in 2022.  I received my undergraduate degree in 2016 in Biochemistry with a minor in Computer Science from BYU.

My research focuses on applying ideas from algorithms and AI/ML to problems in computational biology.  I am particularly interested in gene regulation in spatial omics and generative AI for cellular foundation models.
